History of Intown Renovations Group
Intown Renovations Group has been remodeling homes in the Atlanta in-town area since 2003, successfully servicing over 600 clients to date. Barry Wright, Founder and President of IRG, has been an in-town resident since 1990 and focuses specifically on in-town homes with the vast majority of projects being in the Virginia Highlands, Morningside, Ansley, Brookhaven and Buckhead areas to the north, and Candler Park and Inman Park areas to the South. IRG began as a one-man operation and has grown to become one of the larger renovation companies in Atlanta, employing six full time team members along with 7 field technicians. We manage all types of home renovation projects ranging from various handyman projects, bathroom renovations and kitchen renovations to 2nd floor additions, exterior facelifts and full house renovations. Within the last 5 years since IRG began participating in the OBIE Award competition, we have won in excess of 25 Gold and Silver awards in categories such as Best Bathroom under $25,000, Best Kitchen under $50,000, Best Basement under $75,000, Residential Exterior Over $100,000 and Whole House Renovation over $500,000.
Due to IRG's success over the years the company continues to grow. Barry realized that there is large demand for quality painting at a reasonable cost so he developed a new branch of IRG devoted only to painting called Intown Renovations Painting. The services include repair/replacement of wood, windows and siding.
We promise that you'll enjoy your time working with us as much as you'll love your new renovation. This commitment is the driving force behind Intown Renovations Group.

Founder & president
intown renovations group & intown painting group
Barry entered the residential remodeling industry in 1990 after holding sales and management positions in the employment, legal and personal/corporate training industries. He has run three companies since then: a nationally franchised contractor referral service, a remodeling/painting/handyman business, and since 2003, the company he founded - Intown Renovations Group.
Barry considers the key to his success is surrounding himself with highly principled, intelligent, knowledgable staff and subcontractors. He enjoys the challenge (and gratification) that comes from making older homes new again - not by tearing them down, but renovating them to fit today's lifestyles, with an attention to detail and commitment to architectural integrity that stands the test of time.
Barry lives in Piedmont Heights with is wife Alicia and two kids, Andrea (16) and Andres (10). In his free time Barry enjoys an active lifestyle, whether it's dinner and a movie with his wife, playing a weekly 9 holes of golf with his 82-years-young mother, marveling at his daughter's gymnastics feats, being regularly "schooled" by his son on the basketball and tennis courts, or simply hanging out at the slopes/lake/beach with his family.

PRESIDENT - INTOWN PAINTING GROUP
Alicia has been with IRG for 13 years (its first official employee!) and, before becoming CFO, was the bookkeeper and helped manage our small projects. She is originally from Venezuela and moved to Atlanta in 2000. She and her husband Barry live in Piedmont Heights with their two kids, Andrea and Andres. Alicia has degrees in Business Management and Business Administration, also owns Alicia's Cleaning Services, a home cleaning business, and recently formed IRG's painting division.
When asked what she enjoys most about working with IRG, Alicia's response was simple: to watch the transformation of a project from beginning to end, and how beautiful the final results are.
When she isn’t working, Alicia enjoys running, TurboKick classes and listening to music. Her most favorite thing to do is spending time with her family, whether on vacations, going to dinner, playing sports, seeing a movie, or jet skiing on Lake Lanier. She also loves FaceTiming with her sister in Saudi Arabia or best friend in Italy, as well as hosting and cooking for her family from Venezuela when they visit for the holidays.

Jennifer is from a family of builders and has been in and around construction her whole life. She even built her own house from the ground up about 4 years ago. She is originally from Maryland, moved to Atlanta about 20 years ago, and now lives in Decatur.
Jennifer has degrees in Business Administration and Communication from the College of Charleston. She has been with IRG for over 4 years and has been involved in all facets of IRG's home renovations business from managing bath and kitchen projects to pricing and project coordination of some of our largest projects. Most recently, as our Sales & Service Coordinator, Jennifer is responsible for managing our client's service from the first call to our office, forward. Jennifer enjoys this industry because she likes working with the clients and seeing how every project is unique. There is always an opportunity to try something new and different.
Jennifer is the proud mom of 2 kids, ages 9 & 12. In her spare time (what’s left of it) she sometimes participates in relay races. Two years ago she was part of a 12 person relay team that competed in the Ragnar Race in Chattanooga, TN. Alex is an expert in interior/exterior painting. He started in the business when he was 15 years old and has continued to excel at his craft ever since. He enjoys painting because it feels natural to him, and regardless of the ups and downs of the construction business, the end result is always pleasing. He is originally from Venezuela and came to Atlanta in 2004, joined Intown Renovations Group in 2009, and was recently promoted to General Manager of Intown Painting Group (the painting branch of IRG).
Alex studied Marketing in Venezuela and plans to continue his education by obtaining a degree in Contractor Management next year.
When he isn’t working Alex enjoys listening to music, playing Xbox games, and watching movies. He is also a member of a softball team called, of course, Venezuela.
